The Business Manager, Hospital Operations will lead improvement in operational and financial performance and develop new business opportunities across Fox Chase Cancer Center. Reporting to the AVP, Cancer Center Operations, and working in a highly matrixed environment with hospital and health system leadership, this role will drive process standardization and alignment with industry best practices, improve productivity, efficiency, access and patient experience. Where appropriate and prioritized by hospital leadership, this role will be responsible for leading project teams in the accomplishment of Fox Chase Cancer Center activities and objectives. Completes annual budgets, monitors and manages the financial performance in conjunction with the respective department Directors and Managers.

Complexity factors include: multiple practice and hospital locations, service line collaboration, multiple clinical specialties, complex regulatory requirements, coordination of care across departments, and change management in a matrixed environment.

Education
Bachelors Degree : in related field. (Required)
Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration (Preferred)

Experience

1-2 Years experience in a management or supervisory role. (Required)

3-5 Years experience in physician relations, practice management and/or healthcare operations. (Required, Fellowship may be considered in lieu of experience)

General experience and knowledge of project management approach, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle and experience in implementing continuous improvement processes. (Preferred)

General experience and understanding of process excellence and business process streamlining methodologies for hospital and ambulatory operations to ensure efficiency of workflow, implementation of best practices, and progressive use of technology. (Preferred)
