PROGRAM COORDINATOR II-BENEVOLENT FUND

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Program Coordinator II to work in the Office of Advancement with the Benevolent Fund team. This position will oversee day-to-day operations of Blazer Kitchen including ordering food for distribution, compliance with safe food handling practices, and data collection, analysis and reporting and building partnerships to benefit Blazer Kitchen. The Project Coordinator assist with presentations, tabling and other events during the Benevolent Fund Spring campaign and Blazers Against Hunger.
This position works closely with the other members of the Advancement Office. The Project Coordinator will report directly to the Benevolent Fund Manager.
This position is a hybrid eligible after the probationary period.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance and data for Blazer Kitchen. Complete monthly reports for the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama and Blazer Kitchen data reports. Maintain shopper and volunteer data.
- Responsible for food distribution through Blazer Kitchen, pick-ups at the Community Food Bank and other locations, developing partnerships with outside organizations and service-learning classes.
- Coordinate partnerships with UAB Medicine Clinics. Communicate operational changes, provide data on patient shoppers, manage preparation of clinic food bags as needed.
- Build relationships and engagement with employee groups across campus, prepare and present during Blazers Against Hunger and Benevolent Fund campaign to ask for gifts and raise awareness
- Performs other duties as assigned
Annual Salary Range : $38,170-$44,100
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health or related field
- 2 years of related experience
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle, CRM and GivePulse
- Ability to learn new software programs
- Data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Critical thinking
- Work with diverse groups of people
- Ability to quickly impart knowledge to volunteer groups and delegate tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Public speaking
- Attention to detail
- Collaboration & networking skills
- Reliable self-starter that is comfortable working both individually and as part of a team
- Must be eligible to lift 25 pounds routinely and stock food from floor to ceiling
- Must be eligible to drive UAB vehicle
