The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) SCHOOL OF OPTOMETRY is seeking a PROGRAM COORDINATOR II. This position is under general supervision, providing support for a defined communications department program. Carries out established program objectives and directives. Determines the best approach to accomplish assignments. Assists with event planning needs. Communicates using a variety of media, with internal and external constituents. May be responsible for adherence to program budget and/or other fiscal duties. May assist with contract preparation and submission. May handle data management. Execute general website updates. Perform other duties as assigned.
(Hourly Rate: $18.35 - $29.80)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
Experience with managing social media, general photography, and basic video production is a plus.
Candidate must be able to multi-task, be a self-starter, and work independently. Must be able to meet deadlines. Work will consist of managing social media, general photography, and basic video production. Must be able to work independently and with groups. Basic writing skills and will need to be able to write AP style.
