Responsibilities

This position coordinates primary fiscal activities for the Department of Biomedical Sciences, including procurement, budget management, and other financial support functions.

Responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing, daily purchasing activities for the Department of Biomedical Sciences and its PIs. Responsible for procurement of all departmental supplies and equipment in compliance with all funding source guidelines. Responsible for a departmental P-Card, ensuring purchases comply with FSU P-Card program guidelines. Processes purchase requisitions and disbursements. Implements, coordinates, and maintains accurate purchasing and budgeting records with College of Medicine accounting offices. Coordinates all purchasing and budget activity between College of Medicine Accounting offices and Biomedical Sciences personnel. Serves as ex officio member of the Departmental Equipment Committee and evaluates service contract needs for the department.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
