Department Summary

The Department of Teacher Education and Administration seeks to improve educational practice through the generation of knowledge and to prepare education professionals who serve all students in an effective, inclusive and equitable manner. Its focus is on the preparation of highly competent educators, researchers and administrators who employ current theory and research as they fill these important roles. The department also provides service to educational institutions, governmental agencies and practitioners at all levels.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for supporting an educational project requiring a general working knowledge of function/specialization. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks which include induction activities, data collection, social media, record keeping related to compliance and general support.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related field and one year of related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Job Duties:
  • Plans, promotes and implements activities related to assigned program, which may include development of program presentations, recruitment, and training.
  • Writes scholarly reports, grant proposals or other program/project related documents.
  • Provide administrative support for the grant including budget management, purchasing, reconciling accounts, obtaining necessary approvals and ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements.
  • Assists with implementation, development, planning, promotion/dissemination and logistical support of project.
  • Maintains and reports accurate program/project related records which are consistent with applicable grant/program/university requirements.
  • Maintains relationships with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., district partners, teacher mentors). Acts as point of contact for stakeholders related to program/project.
  • Assists, as needed, with oversight of Teaching Fellows and related duties (i.e. training, evaluation) as well as providing guidance for professional development and community involvement which include internship programs, as necessary.

Flexible - 20 hrs per week Mon - Fri between 8:00 and 5:00
