Job Summary

The University of Michigan's Center for Global Health Equity was launched by a catalytic gift from Dr. Tachi and Leslie Yamada, and was generously matched by the University. The Center brings together faculty and students from across the U-M community, leveraging expertise from multiple disciplines in pursuit of novel solutions to global health challenges that can positively impact individuals in low-resource settings.

The Center is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Intermediate Manager who will manage the Center's educational programs and initiatives for students and Center members; help advance the Center's initiatives focused on Empowering Women and Communities as effectors of health; coordinate a new faculty community of practice focused on Latin America; and begin investigating efforts to expand the reach of the Center to under-resourced communities more locally. Working under the direction of the Center's Managing Director, this individual will support and lead efforts to design, develop and evaluate initiatives that are conceptualized through collaborative efforts of U-M faculty, international partners, and external stakeholders. Strong emphasis will be placed on developing tactics to measure and report on the impact these initiatives make on the lives of the most vulnerable people worldwide.

The Center values collaboration with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and learners that includes people of different race and ethnicity, national origin, gender and gender expression, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, religious commitment, age, and disability status. We aim to create a community of mutual respect and trust where everyone's backgrounds, identities, and views are embraced.
