JOB SUMMARY:
This position is a casual, grant funded position which renews annually based on funding availability. This position supports The Anderson Center for Oral Health, a program housed within the Center for Healthier Communities and Population Health. We are seeking candidates with a strong interest in Oral Health Care. This position will provide academic detailing for medical providers on new oral health initiatives, provide care navigation to support successful referrals to dental homes for children, present to community groups and health care providers on the importance of good oral hygiene and referral to relevant resources. In addition, this position will support program implementation for oral health promotion and other HEDIS measures throughout the network. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills (written and oral, including public speaking), excellent organizational skills experience contributing to program logistics, implementation and data collection. This role functions under the supervision of the Director of the Center and should feel comfortable working independently and within a team in the hospital setting and the community.
The Project Spec - Comm Health, with oversight from the Program Manager and Coordinator, is responsible for providing support of the coordination and implementation of the assigned program and/or project (s), including planning and development. This individual will assist the Coordinator with all aspects of program evaluation, including creating and implementing the evaluation strategy and tools. The Project Spec - Comm Health will assist the Coordinator in tracking purchases and inventory (as appropriate per program) in support of keeping a balanced budget. Project Spec - Comm Health will assist with the creation of program marketing materials and outreach, including communication strategy across website, social media, community publications etc. This individual will also assist in developing strategic partnerships to support and grow the program and participate on ongoing department and/or organizational initiatives, as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years of experience
CA Driver's License (Center for Healthier Communities only)
Proof of Auto Insurance (Center for Healthier Communities only)
Knowledge of healthcare issues specific to youth
Experience with presenting information to a classroom-sized audience
Experience working with diverse youth populations and planning events
Proficient with MS Office
Ability to work independently as well as take direction
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
3 years of experience
Knowledge of community health resources
Experience developing curriculum and providing healthcare education
The expected hiring range for this position is $23.10 to $31.77
