The primary focus of the position is to lead the efforts required to assure that the quality of product delivered to customers meets or exceeds expectations. This is accomplished through both administrative and inspection activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Monitor performance of suppliers and provide reports to project team members and customer representatives; this includes performing source inspection and directing third party inspectors.
  • Assist in the Quality Surveillance and inspection activities needed to support project execution. Ensure associated cost is within defined budget and limitations and when circumstances allow, initiate actions to reduce costs while maintaining the integrity of the Quality Surveillance program.
  • Coordinate and assist in the development of project specific Quality Plans, inspection checklists, and documentation requirements for suppliers of fabrications, raw materials and equipment utilized in projects.
  • Develop Project Quality Plans for suppliers of fabrications, material and equipment utilized in Environmental and Service projects.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Supply Management, and Project Management to resolve issues and institute corrective action.
  • Develop and distribute inspection summary reports and ASME Code Data Report Packages.

  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally as required, in some cases with short notice.
  • Must be able to understand and work to the company's ISO QMS procedures.

Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent working experience
  • Knowledge of structural steel, auxiliary equipment, boiler, and pressure vessel fabrication.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or working knowledge on weld inspection.
  • Strong background in welding and inspection including NDT.
  • Working knowledge of AWS standards, and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Sections I, V, VIII, and IX.
  • National Board/ ASME Authorized Inspector qualification will be preferable.
