Role Overview:

As a Quality Engineer in the manufacturing and life science industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are maintained throughout the product development and manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance procedures, conducting thorough inspections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues. Your role will contribute to the overall success of the organization by promoting a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Work Environment: On-site, Palmer MA

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and quality control tools to monitor and control manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including inspection reports, test procedures, and quality records.
  • Generate and analyze quality metrics, providing regular reports to management on quality performance and improvement initiatives
  • Investigate and analyze non-conformities, defects, and customer complaints to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing enhancements to existing processes to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Provide training to employees on quality assurance processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.


Critical Competencies for Success
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in GD&T
  • Proven experience in quality engineering, preferably in the manufacturing and life science industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Controls
  • Proficient in the use of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., statistical analysis, Six Sigma, FMEA).
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
