Elmhurst Hospital Center (EHC) is the major tertiary care provider in the borough of Queens. The hospital is comprised of 545 beds and is a Level I Trauma Center, an Emergency Heart Care Station and a 911 Receiving Hospital. Job Description
This class of positions encompasses responsible clinical and administrative work of varying degrees of difficulty and responsibility involving day-to-day tasks of an operating segment of the Radiology department in the delivery of radiological services. Operates x-ray equipment, develops images, and prepares radiological areas, equipment, supplies and contrast materials.
Duties & Responsibilities
Performs responsible supervisory, administrative and clinical activities involving day-to-day supervision of those performing specialized imaging procedures with diagnostic and interventional radiography. May be required to perform these procedures, in a specialty area in which they are certified, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH; and
2. Possession of a current advanced-level certification in the appropriate specialty area; and
3. Two (2) years of Radiologic Technologist experience performing duties consistent with lower Assignment Levels, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
