Position Summary

Under general supervision, while working to fulfill the goals and objectives of the Sandia Tribal Gaming Commission, performs receptionist and clerical duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Receives telephone calls and visitors, determines nature of calls and visitor requests and directs appropriate staff, or provides information on routine matters.
  2. Maintains logs of applicants: date/time of appointment, receives and confirms documentation and tracks employee appointment data on spreadsheet.
  3. Implements office administrative procedures and processes.
  4. Types and reviews correspondence, reports, and other material from rough or advanced draft using a computer.
  5. Files and retrieves information from manual and/or computer automated files according to established office procedures.
  6. Keeps and maintains individual daily log sheets regarding incoming/outgoing mail/faxes, incoming phone calls and visitors.
  7. Sorts and distributes mail and sends and retrieves faxed documents.
  8. Photocopies and assembles materials for distribution.
  9. Monitors supply inventory.
  10. Maintains equipment, supplies, and other materials for administrative operations.
  11. Runs errands for staff and/or delivers documents to specific locations.
  12. On a bi-weekly basis, emails timesheets to Tribal payroll and as needed for new hires picks up payroll checks from Tribal office.
  13. Provides information with regards to services and department events.
  14. Updates and distributes department contact, and phone listings.
  15. Performs reference calls for Licensing Department as needed.
  16. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills in building a cohesive working relationship with co-workers and internal/external contact.
  17. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo of Sandia.

  1. A quality guest service experience is an essential component for all Team members working at the Pueblo of Sandia particularly those positions assigned to work in all public areas.

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) identified as a measurement of success. KPI's will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI's as part of the performance review process.

  14. Knowledge of office supplies, office management, and procedures; office equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
  15. Ability to work odd and unusual hours, weekends and overtime.

  17. Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.


Requirements:

Education and Experience

Required:
  1. High School Diploma, GED Certification or equivalent.
  2. Two (2) year experience in a clerical and/or office related field.
