North Central Surgical Center is seeking a qualified Regional Director of Medical Staff Services

Required Skills:

The Regional Director is responsible for the coordination and oversight of the Medical Staff Services Department of USPI Shaw Region facilities. Effectively manages Medical Staff Services Employees. Directs physician and allied health credentialing and re-credentialing, meeting management, flow of information from medical staff committees through the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Board. Assists with Joint Commission/AAAHC survey preparation and compliance for the medical staff and leadership function as appropriate. Manages and monitors electronic credentialing database. Works to facilitate conversion of paper credentials files to digital format. Provides staff and medical staff education regarding accreditation standards. Works closely with medical staff leaders, hospital administration and legal counsel as appropriate.

Required Experience:

• Business or health related undergraduate degree is preferred.

• Previous experience in a Medical Staff Services Administrative position required.

• National Provider Credentialing (CPCS) and Medical Services Management (CPMSM) certification required.

• Possesses the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

• Possess the ability to deal professionally with physicians administrators, and department heads.

• Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects for multiple facilities simultaneously.

• Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule as needed.
