**Schedule: M-F, 8AM-5PM**

Registered Nurse Infection Prevention/Employee Health Coordinator at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:

  • The Infection Prevention (IP)/Employee Health (EH) Coordinator at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth (BSWSHFW) is responsible for coordinating the Infection Prevention, Control and Employee Health programs.
  • The IP/EH Coordinator serves as a subject matter expert, collaborating with teams and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention and employee health regulatory requirements.
  • The IP/EH Coordinatoroversees all employee health services, including but not limited to wellness initiatives, safety issues, employee accident, investigation/prevention follow up, onboarding, health assessments, and screening/vaccination of new and existing employees.

Required Skills:

Education
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Associate degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, occupational/employee health, or related field. Bachelors/master's degree is preferred.

Licensure/Certification
  • Current Texas state nursing license with no restrictions
  • Current BLS
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN), Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (i.e., CICĀ© preferred) or attainment within 2 years after employment required for new hires as of April 2021.

Required Experience:

Specific Job Experience
  • Minimum one year of experience in Infection Prevention and
  • Minimum one year of experience in an acute care setting
  • Occupational/employee health, public health, or other related area


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Has good computer skills and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in data collection and analysis, report writing, and data presentation.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence.
  • Be able to function in this role independently.
  • Effective communication skills with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to perform payroll and staffing record keeping.
