Insight Global is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist specific to the Texas and Louisiana railroad commission. This role will sit in downtown Houston up to 2 days per week, on a contract basis, starting off as a 6 month duration for the project. This role is extendable based off work load. This role will work compliance with government laws and regulations. Works with company management to identify potential risks, implementing policies and procedures to uphold laws and regulations and monitoring the companys adherence to those policies and procedures. Prepares and submits completion reports and supporting documents to the RRC, and verifies that chemical disclosure lists have been uploaded to Frac Focus. Monitors correspondence from the RRC to verify classification of wells, production volume, lease identification and delinquent production notification and provide timely response back to RRC. Fosters a safety and environmentally focused company culture. Works with subsurface team to request as-drilled plats from surveyors and provide compliance review for perf recommendations. Specifically ensure that we have no concerns with SWR 37, SWR 10 and subsurface easements. Role is to review and proof what was permitted to be drilled, against what was drilled, and to advise if the wellbore is in a legal location prior to completion. Reviews proration schedule and submits necessary documentation to maintain allowables. Tracks, compiles, and submits well logs for RRC following confidentiality period. Monitors status of regulatory submittals and follows up with regulatory agencies to ensure timely submittals and approvals and maintains permit records. Work with various teams and business units to resolve operation and production-related compliance issues, including inactive well compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in railroad commission completions, drilling, and compliance reporting

Experience with backlog project work

Knowledge of PHMSA regulations centered around 49 CFR 190, 191, 192, 194, 195, 196, 199 and API Recommended Practices

Understanding of the Federal, State and Local OSHA & DOT rules and regulations

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with regulations in Texas and Louisiana
