Job Title: Rehabilitation Services Manager

Job Summary

Assists the rehab director in program growth, quality initiatives, employee management and department efficiency. Collaborates with physician, family members and other members of the healthcare team. Provides training and education to family/caregivers/staff and other professionals.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assists director in program growth, development, and departmental operations
  • Leads performance improvement and quality initiatives
  • Assists with fiscal management and improving departmental efficiency
  • Assists in aligning processes with regulatory guidelines
  • Establishes a cooperative working relationship between the IDT, rehab team and members of the medical community
  • Identifies potential problem situations, intervenes appropriately, and communicates such events to Director
  • Works across clinical service lines, including inpatient, outpatient, and PACE as needed
  • Participates in and provides in-service education to facilities, supportive staff, students, and the community
  • Assists clinical staff in patient care based on departmental needs
  • Supervises and trains support personnel
  • Attends both departmental and IDT (interdisciplinary team) meetings as needed


Job Requirements

Education:

  • Master's degree preferred


Experience:

  • One year experience in physical therapy and experience working with the geriatric population
  • Progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting preferred


Licenses/Certifications:

  • Florida licensed therapist (physical, occupational or speech language pathologist)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • Proof of Insurance

  • Demonstrates employee management that is fair, supportive, collaborative and motivating
  • Demonstrates team building skills with a focus on trust and enthusiasm
  • Current knowledge of safety issues needed in the treatment of patients, especially regarding body mechanics and body substance precautions to protect self, patients and personnel working with therapist
  • Effective written and oral communication skills Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Good problem solving and clinical judgment skills
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative, be adaptable and work well independently
  • Be well organized, flexible, dependable, and punctual
  • Ability to work well with staff, individuals, and participants of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
  • Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office , Excel)
