Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Director of Reimbursement, responsible for: understanding the workflow of the upgraded 6x EZ Cap software used to process transplant invoices; and as the subject matter expert supervises transplant finance workflow supervising two to three Patient Financial Services employees towards accurate payment of transplant invoices according to CMS regulations; preparation/posting of month-end journal entries and account reconciliations; assisting with preparation of the annual AHCA Report, and Medicare/Medicaid Cost Reports; preparing and submitting AHCA's LIP Cost Limit and LIP Milestone reports; assisting with various fiscal intermediary audits such as the Medicare//Medicaid Cost Reports, LIP audits; wage index and occupational mix audits; assisting with Medicare Cost Report bad debts; maintenance of cost report statistics such as time studies; assisting with interim and fiscal yearend financial audit requests: assisting with value-based purchasing presentations; establishing rapport and building working relationships with appropriate personnel. Responsible for the identification, performance, and completion of process improvements within assigned area. Performs special projects as assigned by Director. Qualifications

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and four years of experience in hospital accounting or Finance OR a master's degree in a healthcare related program, i.e.
• MHA and two years of similar hospital experience.
• Proficiency in computer based analytical and reporting tools such as spreadsheet and database applications.
• Knowledge of automated data processing systems.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and cost reporting software.
