REMOTE-Information System Security Officer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking highly skilled and experienced Information System Security Officers (ISSO) to join an active government program based out of Reston, Virginia on a 100% REMOTE basis. The ISSO will work in a remote capacity to provide client support . This individual should be experienced and well versed in performing assessment activities including examination, verification, correction and documentation of system security controls.

Responsibilities of Information System Security Officer:

• Utilize NIST SP 800-53 standards and RMF expertise to assess systems security and ensure compliance.
• Develop and maintain system documentation including System Security Plans and Risk Assessment Reports.
• Schedule and perform initial and recurring Continuous Monitoring assessments.
• Validate scan results, support inventory management and oversee change and process management.
• Support external FISMA and OIG audits

Qualifications of Information System Security Officer:

• 8+ Years of experience in governance, risk and compliance including 5+ years of government customer support.
• Experience with FISMA, Assessments and Authorizations, and Continuous Monitoring.
• Well versed in policy and standards development and support in addition to authorization packages.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree required
• Certification: Active CISSP required
• Clearance: Active Public Trust required

Compensation of Information System Security Officer:

• Salary Range: $130,000 - $145,000 depending on experience
