Job Summary/Basic Function
The OP Rental Center Specialist - Water Craft will be responsible for managing and maintaining water crafts at the OP Rental Center. Duties include but are not limited to: Researching and implementing best practices related to all OP water crafts. Must have experience patching a variety of boats made of a variety of different materials. This position will work closely with the OP Coordinator and the student manager. Candidates must have a strong interest in outdoor recreation, experience working with outdoor equipment, a desire to learn and expand skills related to equipment maintenance, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and great customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of outdoor equipment and its use. Experience maintaining and repairing a variety of outdoor equipment. Familiarity with the OP Rental Shop policies and procedures. American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and standard First Aid Certifications. Ability to work on independent projects and take initiative. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Ability to stand or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Ability to work in hot, cold, and/or wet conditions. Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly. Ability to supplement learning experience with individual research and application. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and relational service skills.
