Department Summary
The Institute for Translational Research is devoted to bringing novel diagnostics and interventions to patients and families suffering from neurodegenerative diseases, fostering translational research in neurodegenerative diseases at UNTHSC, and Create solutions for a healthier community. Our team spans basic "bench-top" science, clinical research, community-based research and clinical trials. Our translational approach is intended to foster discovery and expedite those discoveries toward the benefit of those suffering from brain disease. A particular emphasis of ITR is the development of personalized (or person-focused) medicine for Alzheimer's disease.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing executive, administrative, and analytical support to the respective department. Assists with special projects and budgetary activities. Coordinates the collection and analysis of data and the preparation of materials for meetings and conferences. Identifies issues or problems and researches solutions within specific management areas. Duties reflect substantial variety and complexity. Assignments are broad in nature and usually require creativity and originality. Serves as a resource for others in the resolution of complex problems and issue.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years' of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Computer ExperienceBasic IT troubleshooting for ITR

Job Duties:
- Attends IT meetings to update team on progress
- Meets with ITR Product Owners to gather needs and requirements
- QA Tests software issues to validate work quality (.NET, Angular apps)
- Handles basic help desk functionality such as troubleshooting monitors, wires, printers, etc as required.
- Facilitates scrum sprint board and backlog manicuring based on updated needs
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
