This role will become part of the MI-AORTA multidisciplinary research team involved in the advancement of a cardiovascular disease biobank and would be responsible for data entry for enrolled research participants into research databases. This role is ideal for persons interested in pursuing medical school or furthering their career in the field of health care or research. Please note that this position is a 1-year term position.

Responsibilities*

Identify enrolled research participants for retrospective registry enrollment.
Assist with collection of medical information, laboratory data and genetic data from research participants.
Perform data management, such as entering information into web application, laboratory information system, and Microsoft Excel.
Functional supervision will be provided by the Principal and Co-Investigators, MI-AORTA Leadership Team; administrative supervision will be provided by the MI-AORTA Administrative Manager.

Required Qualifications*

Bachelors degree in a health science or health-related field.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to sustain a high level of organization.
Punctual and detail-oriented.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Qualifications*

Demonstrated knowledge of medical and research terminology.
Prior research experience.
Experience with MiChart, REDCap web application, and Microsoft Office.
Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting.

Work Schedule

Shift/Hours/Days: 10-15 hours per week. Hybrid, flexible schedule between M-F with general core hours from 8am to 4pm.

Background Screening
