Responsibilities

This position will be assisting the Principal Investigator with coordination of administrative, programmatic, and operational activities pertaining to research at the College of Nursing.
  • Day-to-day project and research management to support project desired outcomes, budgets, and timelines informing the Principal Investigator of intended submissions and collaborates with their assigned reps.
  • Effectively reviews study protocol and provides the necessary training for specific tasks with the individuals involved with the conduct of the study.
  • Serves as research project manager providing oversight and assistance to research assistants and day-to-day activities including regulatory requirements, site coordination, human resources, travel, and event planning.
  • Assists with preparation of proposal components, monitors forecasted budgets, preparation of progress reports, and tracking and reporting efforts of grant submissions.
  • Ensures guidance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies. Coordinates and actively recruits and acquires formal consent from study subjects for enrollment.
  • Administrative support for research meetings, scheduling, human resources, travel, and event planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of work experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six (6) years of work experience. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

This position requires successful completion of the eSPEAR Certification or ability to obtain the certification within 6 months of hire. https://www.research.fsu.edu/research-offices/sra/resources/training/espear/
