Job Summary
The Risk Management Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the risk management function by handling administrative duties, maintaining risk-related documentation, and assisting with risk assessments and reporting. This role ensures the smooth operation of the risk management department and contributes to the organization's overall risk management strategy.
Your Key Job Functions
• Assist in the documentation, tracking, and payment of risk-related incidents
• Enter risk-related data into risk management software or databases
• Provide administrative support to the risk management team
• Manage and organize risk management files, documents, and records, ensuring they are accurate and up to date
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular audits and validations
• Track and follow up on risk mitigation actions and ensure they are implemented in a timely manner
• Assist with the preparation and distribution of risk management reports and presentations
• Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding risk management inquiries
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of risk management policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities for improving risk management processes and administrative functions
• Support the preparation of compliance reports and ensure that all risk management activities adhere to regulatory requirements
• Assist with internal and external audits related to risk management
• Complete additional projects and assignments as requested by supervisor
What You Bring to the Team
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field or equivalent work experience
• 2 - 3 years of experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within risk management or a related field
• Risk or Insurance professional designations preferred but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• User level familiarity with Risk Management Information Systems (claims handling software) required
• Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
• Works with minimal supervision to accomplish tasks
• Prioritizes work to meet appropriate deadlines
• Handles multiple tasks with competing and conflicting requests
• Handles sensitive and confidential information appropriately
• Ability to communicate and establish a rapport with people of various backgrounds, cultures, and professions
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
• Strong customer service skills, including a high level of enthusiasm and energy
