What You'll Do:
  • Acts as a program consultant for the HIV Housing Program and the Statewide HIV Case Management Program:
  • Assists ODH supervisor with monitoring and evaluating the case management grants and activities of RWB funded subrecipients.
  • Identifies training needs of the housing-focused staff and provides access to both one-to-one training options and/or through semi-annual case staff training sessions.
  • Provides technical assistance to supervisors providing day-to-day supervision of RWB subrecipients through regular phone contact, periodic site visits, e-mail exchanges and semi-annual training meetings.
  • Conducts records reviews of documentation at the RWB funded agencies and prepares timely reports of findings.
  • Participates in and facilitates meetings to identify the housing needs in each of the Ryan White Part B service regions.
  • Works collaboratively with key stakeholders in each region to individualize the housing needs and oversee the service provisions, once implemented.
  • Provides specialized technical assistance to community-based agencies providing case management and housing services to the HIV infected population in program development, evaluation, and measures progress towards successful outcomes.
  • Evaluates the gaps and needs to improve access to medical providers in those regions most highly impacted by HIV.
  • Works closely with the RWB funded agencies to identify provider needs.
  • Assist with RWB training and presentations.
  • Recruits potential Ryan White providers to improve access to housing resources, prepare informational packets about the program guidelines, and circulate provider agreements.
  • Reviews provider agreements for completeness and routes the packets for director's signature.
  • Works independently and as a team member with other HIV Client Services (HCS) Program staff in program analysis, development, and evaluation of funded HIV Client Services programs.
  • Provides technical assistance to assigned Ryan White Part B subrecipients &/or local projects.
  • Assists program manager in the preparations of grant applications from ODH to the federal government or other possible funding sources.
  • Assists ODH supervisors to develop request for proposals and announcement of availability of funding to interested providers.


Applications of those who meet the minimum qualifications will be further evaluated against the following criteria:
  • Bachelors or advanced degree in social, behavioral sciences, medical or health related area
  • Experience in collaborating with in housing
  • Experience providing technical assistance in the area of social work and housing
  • Experience with HIV Care
  • Experience in evaluating agency information for compliance of standards
  • Experience working with correctional individuals (e.g., staff, inmates)
  • Experience monitoring grants funding
  • Experience in housing programs

Qualifications

  • Completion of undergraduate core program in social or behavioral science, health or pre-medicine or comparable field;
  • 18 mos. exp. in delivery of human services, health care services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider.

  • Completion of graduate core program in social or behavioral science or medicine-related or comparable field;
  • 6 mos. exp. in delivery of human services, health care services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider.
