SDET Automation Engineer(Remote)

Onsite Location : Bolingbrook, Chicago, IL

Qualifications

- B.S. in Computer Science or related practical experience.

- 5+ years of experience as SDET Node.js, Java, JavaScript, React

- Experience with Java, JavaScript, Node.js, React, Intellj

- Expert in Unit Testing frameworks across all languages and tech stacks ( Java, JavaScript, Node.js, React etc.)

- Knowledge in Jira/SVN/Git source code/Postman

- Experience with automated testing tools (selenium, TOSCA) and frameworks.

- Knowledge of automation and scalability test approaches as desired.

- Experience with DevOps principles, tools, and processes desired,

- Experience in Retail industry and eCommerce application is a plus.

- Knowledge in Appium, Perfecto is a plus.

- Working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes and tools like Jenkins etc.

- Demonstrate skill in using coding standards and being an active participant in code reviews.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills to determine root causes required.

- Good communication skills and client handling capabilities

Roles and Responsibilities

Building software artifacts in collaboration with the developers, like test cases, test plans, procedures, and test reports.

Building and maintaining automated test cases, executing test suites, as well as diagnosing and reviewing detected bugs.

Spearhead software requirement meetings and undertake functional analysis of design proposals.

Responsible for managing the Engineering Test Environment with collaboration with the Infrastructure Team

Responsible for end-to-end defect analysis from external integration

Maintenance of existing regression test framework which will be able to address functional and non-functional requirements

Responsible for guaranteeing the overall quality of the system before customer release.

Assist with Security Testing, Performance Testing, API Testing and Unit testing.

Work Authorization

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 7/11/24

The annual salary for this position is between $43,900/- to $97,400/- depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans
