A large defense contractor is looking for multiple Senior Network Engineers to support the modernization, upgrade and maintenance of defense networks at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs.
Responsibilities include:
* Analysis of customer requirements and solves unusually complex problems with highly innovative solutions
* Maintenance and upgrade of networks including Linux servers, Cisco routers, switches and firewalls, remote access systems, and telecom equipment
* Maintenance of network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
* Developing advanced engineering ideas and guiding their development into a final product
* Developing advanced solutions to a variety of highly complex engineering problems
* Performing highly advanced network/systems design, development, and integration from the start of a project life cycle to the end
* Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining network devices, telecom equipment, radio equipment, operating systems, application software, and system management tools

Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, Master's degree and 3 years of experience or PHD and 0-1 year of experience
* Strong Cisco routing and switching
* Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
* Experience handling escalated network issues (tier III issues and above)
* Active Secret clearance
* Network+ certification
* Security+ certification
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Developing and/or sustaining national security, no-fail mission systems
* Experience sustaining PARCS, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR.
* Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.
