The Office of the President at the University of North Texas is the hub of strategic leadership, decision-making, and academic direction for the institution. Position Overview

This position plays a vital role in supporting the Office of the President by providing efficient administrative and analytical support to the various operational teams within the President's Office. The primary purpose of this role is to manage essential administrative tasks, facilitate effective communication, and support budgetary and logistical processes, thereby enhancing the overall functionality of the office. It requires consistent demonstration of superior customer service and operating with a high level of detail in the performance of assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and five years' of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.

Required License/Registration/Certifications

Job Duties:
  • Primary purchasing contact - requisitions, pcard, ABA, IDTs
  • Travel coordinator for Office of the President; including all guests/advisors coming to campus
  • Reconcile and monitor all COA's for Office of the President
  • Assists with various special projects and supports auxiliary offices when working on projects for the President (including Faculty Athletic Rep, Staff Senate, AccoUNTability Supervisor Program, etc.
  • Process all ePARs and job postings for Office of the President.
  • Assists with asset management and space coordination
  • Greet all visitors entering office and address needs or provide direction for meeting with the President.
  • General office duties: errands, work orders, process incoming mail, answer main Office of the President phone and direct calls to appropriate divisions.
  • Handles correspondence and calendar maintenance, prepares meeting agendas and minutes. Assists with the creation, proofing and sending of various professional communications from the President's Office.
  • Coordinates the procurement of and keeps records of promotional items. Organizes office and maintains accurate inventories related to office supplies.

Work Schedule:

M-F, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; occasional extended hours as necessary
