Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement OpenShift Clusters: Set up and configure OpenShift clusters to meet the needs of various applications and services.

• Migrate Java based applications from PCF to openshift.

• Manage and Monitor Clusters: Ensure the health and performance of OpenShift clusters through monitoring and maintenance.

• Automate Deployment Pipelines: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Tekton.

• Troubleshoot Issues: Diagnose and resolve issues related to OpenShift clusters and containerized applications.

• Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

• Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate OpenShift into the overall infrastructure.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience with high proficiency in Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, along with a strong background in DevOps practices. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining OpenShift clusters to support our applications and services.

• Experience with OpenShift: Proven experience in deploying and managing OpenShift clusters.

• Kubernetes Knowledge: Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts and architecture.

• Containerization: Proficiency in Docker and containerization technologies.

• CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.

• Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.

• Networking: Knowledge of networking concepts and experience with OpenShift networking.

• Persistent Storage: Experience with persistent storage solutions in OpenShift.

• Security: Understanding of security practices in containerized environments.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience with Javascript/shell/Jenkins technologies

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 - $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
