The Role

Our Retail Consumer Goods Consulting Practice is looking for a Senior Director, Consulting, to join us on our journey to become the preeminent technology services partner to the Global 2000.

Global Practice Leader - RCGTH Consulting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

5. PARAMETERS OF SUCCESS

a. Drive Consulting Sales in Retail/CPG Space

• Own multiple new/existing client pursuits with direct Consulting Revenue

• Participate in large deals

• Present solutions/POV/Proposals to the clients

• Qualify deals. Drive solution. Credentialize response

b. Consulting Excellence:

• Lead consulting teams in major client transformational deals

• Deliver client value. Ensure client satisfaction

• Referenceable client delivery

c. Own Solution Offering Management:

• Define Strategic consulting solution

• Develop Cognizant POVs and artefacts

• Ensure offerings are marketed internally (MDU/AM/CPs) and externally with clients

d. Thought leadership:

• Engage with external analysts

• Develop Cognizant POVs in Omni fulfillment area

e. Practice Management Activities:

• Consulting team growth - recruitment, mentoring

• Training and skill upgrade for associates

• Manage utilization/staffing levels for direct reports in accordance to needs

f. Drive RCGTH BU Growth

• Support solutioning for large deals for the BU

• Provide consulting support to drive TCV BU deals

7. EXPERIENCE (required to perform the role, not the incumbent's experience)

• Minimum 10+ years in senior leadership role

• Focused 15+ years experience in relevant domain / Subject Matter

• Minimum 15+ years of complex solutioning experience, with broad technical experience

• Minimum 15+ years in in experience executing transformative initiatives in Retail/CPG space

• Applicable market standard certifications

Preferred background:

- Strong Omni Channel Consulting and solution delivery experience with Retail and Consumer Goods industry clients

- Hands on/firsthand SCM Products experience

KEY COMPETENCIES (includes knowledge / skills / abilities required for delivering the responsibilities effectively)
  1. Domain Knowledge: Omni Channel Fulfillment; Order Management; Inventory Management: Transportation Management
  2. Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Retail value chain. Familiarity with Retail and CG technical architecture
  3. Technical Expertise: Firsthand experience in Supply Chain Solutions; industry trends knowhow and familiarity with emerging technology trends
  4. Commercial Acumen: Ability to shape commercials for maximizing client value while preserving Cognizant's financial goals
  5. Executive Presence: Possess gravitas; effective communicator; ability to engage at CXO level executives
  6. Leadership Experience: Manage large global/multi-cultural teams.

Work Authorization

• Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $200,000 - $220,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
