We are seeking a Sr. Director - Product Management, to lead the joint Talos and Splunk offering to the SOC. You will join us in defining the future of Security Operational Centers in a fast-paced and dynamic start-up-like environment! You will work with Talos research and engineering groups, Splunk PMs, customers, Legal, Sales, UX, Marketing, and other functions to define, enhance, and evolve our threat intelligence and Incident Response portfolio of services. Your responsibilities will be end to end, from problem discovery and user story refinement, all the way through to delivering impactful solutions that customers love.

We are looking for someone who can work with an excellent team to own SOC specific customer problems and define customer outcomes, support their position with customer, competitor, and sales data, and work effectively in a highly distributed team environment. What You'll Do

• You'll distill a vision into a compelling roadmap that focuses on solving customers' skill gaps, and Skill shortage in the SOC and delivering measurable customer outcomes.

• Analyze and break down complex problems in the SOC and across security teams, CISO, and the Board into discrete user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

• Develop new innovative offering to advance the detection and remediation of cyber attacks.

• Devise go-to-market process, plan timelines, launch scenarios, pricing and promotions.

• Undertake constant competitor analysis.

• Develop a joint go-to-market strategy and execution plan with sales.

• Validate requirements and resulting services with customers and partners to ensure success.

• Develop service success metrics and structure an effective experimentation framework in partnership with our research team.

Who You Are: You're a proven SOC leader with ability to balance completeness and quick business results, optimizing for speed, effectiveness with persuasion skills and an ability to lead without direct authority and thrive in ambiguous situations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform strategies with a customer-centric approach on delivering exceptional value and experience through product offerings.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent minimum of 10+ years' experience in security operations with a company in the security, infrastructure, networking, or a related software field.

• Demonstrable experience in delivering customer value and working with distributed sales and engineering teams in a competitive cybersecurity landscape.

• Proven experience in hands-on SOC and providing consultative leadership to threat intelligence, product management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• You have experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria and are comfortable letting your written words speak for you across teams and time zones.

• You have a passion and demonstrable experience in solving for skill and knowledge gaps with effective combination of technology and people.

• Prior experience with speaking engagement at cybersecurity events and skilled in executive briefings on threat landscape.

U.S. employees have to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
