Senior IT Manager - Marketing Technology (CDP, CRM, Customer 360)

What Will You Do?

The senior IT manager is responsible for leading and managing the IT department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT services and solutions that support the organization's strategic goals and objectives. The Senior IT Manager will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The senior IT manager develops and implements IT strategies, policies, standards and procedures, manages the IT budget, resources, vendors and contracts, oversees the design, development, implementation, maintenance and security of the IT infrastructure, systems, applications and data, provides leadership, guidance and coaching to the IT staff and fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement. The senior IT manager also ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations and best practices regarding IT governance, risk management and cybersecurity, monitors and evaluates the performance and quality of IT services and solutions and implements corrective actions as needed, establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicates IT-related issues and initiatives, stays abreast of emerging technologies and trends and assesses their potential impact and value for the organization.

The senior IT manager has a high level of complexity and creativity in problem solving, as well as extensive know-how in IT management. The senior IT manager also has a high level of accountability for ensuring the availability, reliability, security and quality of IT services and solutions and also has a high level of impact and influence on the organization's performance and reputation, as well as on the leadership and development of the IT staff. This position makes recommendations for the development of the strategy in the area of responsibility.

This position will recommend and promote capital and operating expenditures within area of responsibility.

  • Manage and oversee technology operations for the Marketing department, ensuring the smooth functioning of marketing technology infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing department to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that align with their goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the implementation, integration, and maintenance of marketing technology applications such as Customer Data Platforms (CDP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Demand-Side Platforms (DSP), and Customer 360 solutions.
  • Maintain the marketing data hub and data integrations with all marketing applications.
  • Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Plan and implement technology projects and initiatives for the Marketing department, ensuring they are completed within budget and timeline.
  • Ensure data security and compliance within marketing technology systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales and Operations, to integrate marketing technology systems with other business functions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in marketing technology and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the Marketing department, helping them leverage technology to drive marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Make employment decisions and/or recommendations on hiring, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, pay adjustments, etc.
  • Coordinate and manage the work of employees by directing team members to meet the area's goals and regularly audit to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to.
  • Manage employee performance through coaching, mentoring, and administering performance reviews, recommending, planning, and implementing employee training and skill development activities.
  • Audit, maintain, and ensure employee time-keeping and absentee records are accurate.
  • Communicate company and departmental issues and goals, facilitate employee growth and development through weekly team meetings, regular individual employee meetings, coaching, training, and company-offered learning opportunities.
  • Manage resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials.

What Do You Need?

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and/or Information Technology or related field, Required
  • 10 years of experience in IT management, with preference given to experience in managing technology operations for retail
  • Supervisory/Management experience
  • Strong technical background in marketing technology applications such as CDP, CRM, DSP, and Customer 360.
  • Proficiency in data integration techniques, including ETL, pub/sub, messaging, and eventing
  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, and a solid understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work well in cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with marketing professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and industry trends.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to manage and lead a technical team.
