Position Summary

As the Senior Manager, Creative Enablement you'll provide a strong balance of long-term strategic road mapping and granular attention to detail that is paramount to the Walmart Creative Studios day-to-day operations and overall success. You'll partner to advance leadership's priorities through strategic budget and external staffing management, process governance, internal and external relationship building, a firm grasp of capital expenditures, and operating small business finances within a heavily matrixed large corporation. Your negotiation and relationship building skills will ensure we maximize our creative team budget to help further the Creative Studio's business priorities.

You'll be responsible for collaborating with our Finance team, working with our internal Vendor Management team on MSAs, ISAs, SOWs, and COs, and managing external agency contracts, funding and resourcing. Additionally, your role will include management of the Creative Studio's strategy, execution, and tracking of resources across full-time employees, contractors, vendor workers, and independent freelancers.

Example of duties:
  • Work closely with the Director of Creative Business Operations on finance strategy and external staff management
  • Build foundational elements and structure for more effective and efficient ways of working related to budget and resource management
  • Work with creative leadership with a focus on monetary accountability and savings
  • Help lead and faciliate annual planning within the Creative Studio, as well as with key partners
  • Establish a clear process and governance for resource and contracts management & tracking
  • Be the liaison with vendor management, finance, and other cross-functional partners
  • Build a positive working relationship and processes with Integrated Production budget and finance peers
  • Oversee design, build and delivery of reports & insights that analyze business functions, key operations, and performance metrics.
  • Build and define internal team processes, guidelines, best practices to build a culture of transparency and scalability
  • Gather and develop business rationale documents for incremental funding and resource needs
  • Keep our finances and books straight and clean, with regular reporting and dashboard development for leadership and key partners
  • Own our internal finance tool(s), process, and related documentation
  • Audit hourly and project rates, and normalize, as needed
  • Keep updated with area and industry rates
  • Work across the Creative Studio for all-up Creative financial governance


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years of agency or in-house brand side leadership with related financial management.
  • 6 years of experience with resource management within an agency, studio, or in-house marketing environment.
  • 5 years of experience managing agency/vendor contracts and relationships.
  • 7 years of experience working on a creative/production team and cross-functional teams.
  • 5 years of experience as a creative operations manager, resource manager, general manager, coordinator, or some other related role
  • 5 years managing a team of at least 3 people
  • Bachelor's degree a nd 3 years' experience in project management, business operations, or related field OR 6 years' experience in creative operations, project management, business operations, or related field
  • Excellent verbal, written, and soft skills (influencing, persuasion, and communication) and proven relationship-building skills
  • Thrives, excels, and remains calm in an extremely fast-paced and high-volume production environment


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Marketing/creative agency experience -- in-house, even better
  • Broad understanding of agency and creative finances, budgeting, reporting, contracts, and negotiation
  • Experience in an ecommerce environment
  • Experience running a small business is a huge plus

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
