The U.S. Consumer Services and Enterprise Digital & Data Technology Team brings together foundational strategic technology capabilities in digital experience engineering (Mobile and Web), AI/ML, marketing technology, enterprise communications, travel and lifestyle, and automation, grounded in our data technology model that prioritizes data governance. It employs a ground-breaking focus with development responsibilities for customer-facing capabilities that deepen and expand digital engagement, as well as core technical capabilities that cut across business lines and customer segments.

How will you make an impact in this role?

The JavaScript Quality Engineer is a first-class citizen of our team and if you can deliver automated tests for an enterprise website, we have a position for you. Automation is challenging. We value the specialist knowledge and character required to envision, refine, and automate the testing of sophisticated web pages and we want individuals capable of delivering those advantages.

You will be part of the Demand Generation & Shopping Experience group, which focuses on and strives to provide best in class user experiences to our customers when they shop for American Express products. Your work will be at the frontline of American Express' commitment to excellence to our customers, and thus highly visible, impactful, and rewarding.

What to Expect:

  • Identify, report, track and help remediate a variety of web related bugs
  • Ensure the work meet design expectations
  • You would be writing, testing and delivering automation features.
  • Responsibilities include development and deployment of automation tests.
  • Develop test plans, testing resource requirements, and overall scheduling of testing activity
  • Develop manual and automated test cases and configurations needed to meet testing of business requirements
  • Generates test data to support the requirements and test case for various test phases
  • Executes test cases/scripts to ensure delivery of quality software applications, including Systems Integration, Regression, and Performance Testing
  • Set-up, prepare and execute tests using our testing tool and undergo final user acceptance testing approval
  • Create testing plan to ensure design meets business and user objectives
  • Innovate and implement new technologies in an effort to improve our team and applications


Join us if you have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Web Development
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Automated test execution
  • Knowledge of application architecture a plus
  • Experience with testing internationalization and localized web applications and content
  • Enthusiasm for everything JavaScript
  • Advance knowledge of accessibility and web performance, and experience in Performance testing using JMeter or any other similar tools
  • 3+ years of experience in Selenium / WebDriver.io based browser testing in JS
  • 2-year track record of JS test automation
  • Good to have experience with SauceLabs and browserstack
  • Experience with Agile, Agile at scale (SAFe)
  • Cross browser testing & functionality understanding


Qualifications

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
