Responsibilities

  • Manages the Honors Program graduation process, develops and implements the Honors Program Canvas sites and peer educator training course, oversees upper-division colloquium, collaborates with faculty on the implementation of co-curricular events, assists with the Honors in the Major process and monitors student academic progress and provides guidance toward completion of Honors Program graduation requirements.
  • Manages the Honors Graduation process which includes developing and managing the Honors Canvas sites to provide resources/forms for students and to track student completion of Honors graduation requirements, communicating application deadline with students, acquiring list of Honors students that applied for FSU graduation from Graduation Office each semester, collaborating with Honors advisors to verify students' completion of Honors requirements, and notating Honors finishers in FSU graduation system. Confirms successful completion of undergraduate certificates with Honors and notifies Graduation Office. Removes Honors student group from students not continuing in the program.
  • Monitors academic progress and provides advising and guidance toward completion of Honors Program graduation requirements to Upper-division Honors students. Assists with Honors in the Major (HITM) student advising, application process, info sessions, email, and data collection.
  • Collaborates with Honors Core Faculty and Honors Teaching Scholars on the implementation of co-curricular events to include but not limited to reserving the location, submitting purchasing and facilities requests (food, setup, reset, doors, elevators, HVAC, etc.), ensuring all supplies needed for event are available for faculty member, setting up signs and venue with event materials, breakdown of event and managing student check-in.
  • Develops and manages the Honors Upper-Division Colloquium peer educator training course each Fall including proposing changes in course design (assignments, format, topical units), updating syllabi, hiring peer educators, entering final course grades, and developing the Canvas site template for the peer leaders.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Honors Upper Division Colloquium course including updating syllabi each Spring, supervising and mentoring peer educators, entering final course grades, and developing the Canvas site template for all course sections.
  • Assists with planning, coordinating, and implementing Honors graduation ceremonies and various events for Honors students.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with campus partners. Serves on department, division, or university committees. Participates in professional development opportunities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A Master's degree and two years of experience.

  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of academic program planning, development, and evaluation.

Anticipated Salary Range
