Job Description:



The Senior Systems Verification Engineer develops tests, tools, and processes vital to preparation and execution of design verification. They will develop tests that holistically verify the safety and efficacy of the Johnson & Johnson Surgical Robotics system. The individual works closely with engineers from all functional teams; including R&D, systems architecture, and quality engineering to guide requirements and product development for testability.

Key Responsibilities:



Design and lead verification strategy and execution for a robotic sub-system/system.



Work closely with system and quality engineering to ensure requirement testability.



Communicate plans to technical and non-technical leadership.



Develop test methods that accurately test requirements. This will include protocol development, fixture design, test validation, script development, analysis of data, and test report generation.



Perform and document equipment qualifications and test method validations.



Document test data and results in excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint slides, and word documents.



Document test anomalies for further investigation.



Evaluate test success and perform basic data analysis.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

• B.S. in Engineering or other applicable technical degree with 4+ years' experience

• OR M.S./PhD in Engineering or other applicable technical degree with 2+ years' experience is required

Experience and Skills:



Required:

• Prior experience writing test protocols/reports, designing equipment, and executed formal testing in a federally regulated industry (e.g. automotive, aerospace) or technology.

• Possesses breadth of knowledge across multiple engineering fields (electrical, mechanical, robotic, visualization, software), with domain expertise in at least one area.

• Experienced in applied test system design, implementation, test execution, and equipment qualification/maintenance.

• Proficient in technical writing and good documentation practices is.

• Experience in managing and training junior engineers and contractors to achieve program goal.

• Ability to develop testing/analysis software scripts in Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages.

Preferred:

• Experience developing and executing test method validation and qualification.

• Medical device experience.

• Software, Robotics or electro-mechanical experience.

Other:

• Ability to travel up to 10%, international and domestic, is required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $119,000 to $ 191,820. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
