Service Now- Software Asset Management Consultant

Location: White Plains, New York - Hybrid work model

Job Summary

Preferably a graduate in technology related field with a mix of technical and management background

8-15 Years of work experience in IT asset management

ITIL V4 foundation certified (Preferred)

SAM certification preferred (ServiceNow SAMPro)

SAM licensing certification preferred for top priority publishers like Microsoft Oracle IBM Adobe Vmware HP Symantec etc.

Certified/IAITAM/IBSMA/SIIA/BSA Certified Software Asset Manager) Preferred

Responsibilities

Working experience in software asset management and understanding of different contracts license models Product use rights of various publishers (e.g. Microsoft Adobe IBM Oracle VMware Autodesk etc.)

Having Solid Experience Background on ServiceNow SAMPro module

End to end governance starting from procurement till Disposal

Good Knowledge on process flow analysis and process redesign and sharing standard methodologies and act to be consultative throughout the technical design of the project.

Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements and produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements.

Participate and setting up new process from End to End based on understanding of the Client Environment.

Establishing and maintaining software license compliance and licensing life-cycle management for all software from purchase receipt installation upgrade removal reallocation and retirement.

Crafting and analysing software installation and license inventory reporting completing software compliance assessments (internal audits) and providing support with vendor license audits.

Candidate should have the ability to research software products resolve product-licensing Implications and vulnerabilities interpret and process Vendor software license agreements.

Experience in creating reports for entitlement baselining software publisher ELP (Effective license positioning) in Flexera Asset Manager or in any SAM Tool.

Suggest & implement technical measures to save on license cost based on usage. Experience in leading and analysing new project requirements.

Assist clients for financial predictability on Software procurement and able to provide data lead assistance to reduce License software and support costs by negotiating contracts with the vendor.

Expertise in usage of Software Asset Management & Inventory Collection Tools like Flexera Asset manager & SCC

Certifications Required

SAM certification preferred (ServiceNow SAMPro)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $79,240- $133,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
