SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Develops, implements and evaluates simulation based medical education to support organizational needs. Designs, executes and facilitates any educational activity that utilizes simulation aides to replicate clinical or hospital based scenarios.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Training and Facilitation
Executes non-standardized simulation curriculum with experienced response to learners needs. Provides simulation learning experiences to a designated audience with a designated topic. Understands basic adult and simulation based learning theory in the setting of training and tailoring content and delivery to audiences. Facilitates using Simulation Center standard facilitation framework. 20% of position is curriculum design work.
• Program Development
Participates in planning, coordination and implementation of simulation programs and materials. Leads the effort for updating established programs with revised course requirements. Works with Content Experts to promote the utilization of best practices in the implementation of simulation courses.
• Collaboration
Collaborates with others and serves as a resource for simulation based learning related to facilitation and basic instructional design. Develops and sustains meaningful and productive bonds with Content Experts/others based on mutual respect.
• Issue Resolution
Independently troubleshoots and resolves simulation based issues as they arise.
• Equipment Utilization
Demonstrates the ability to utilize common simulation platforms within simulation based education courses independently. Demonstrates basic troubleshooting ability and reports high level or unresolved equipment challenges/issues to Simulation Technologists.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 0 - 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline
• AHA Instructor certification
