Our NYC client, an emerging brand (start-up) in the men's skin care / beauty industry, is seeking a Social Media Marketing Manager to add to their growing team! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity that can be primarily remote, but must be close enough to NYC to work 1 day / week (or less) onsite. The salary range for this role (once hired on) is $90-110K / year.

The Social Media Marketing Manager will serve as the lead strategist driving and maximizing conversion within our fast-growing and ever evolving strategic affiliate network and influencer programs across our D2C e-commerce channels, as well as serve as the point of contact for coordinating new social commerce opportunities and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Establish affiliate and influencer conversation strategy that supports D2C sales targets and maximizes key moments (e.g. launch, promo, campaigns).
  • Manage social networks (e.g. Instagram and TikTok). This includes ideating posts and creative direction for these platforms, posting and responding to posts where required.
  • Create, edit or source content for posts, stories, reels from Brand Assets or UGC or other sources deemed brand appropriate. Post and manage this content.
  • Advise on cadence and mix of traditional affiliates and influencer affiliate networks to drive sales.
  • Serves as lead contact for influencer networks.
  • Build a mix of converter influencers with diversified profiles and background. Find efficiencies in spend by exploring meaningful contacts.
  • Create cohesive storytelling while leveraging influencers.
  • Engage, train and coach influencers on creating UGC for the brand.
  • Manage social media promotional campaigns, affiliate marketing programs and PR opportunities.

Over-arching Responsibilities:
  • Create an overarching social media and influencer strategy program.
  • Build out and mange the workflows in the influencer platform (e.g. Upfluence, Grin)
  • Create quarterly social media engagement plans and KPIs for campaigns that meet revenue targets.
  • Own the relationship with social media platforms (Meta, TikTok, IG)
  • Grow the brand through constant evolution of video views, impressions and engagement.
  • Ad-hoc marketing and social media responsibilities as required from the business to achieve goals and business results.

Requirements:
  • LGBTQ+ Friendly
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Experience with content creation (grpahic design, videos, etc)
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Affiliate or Influencer Marketing
  • Passion for beauty and cosmetics, trends, social media and story telling
  • Expereince with marketing to a male audience (skincare, fashion, etc)
  • Be a natural community builder
  • Experience in community building and influencer campaign management
  • Strong collaborator and does not take offense to critique of ones work
  • Strong digital/creator skills
  • Strong analytical skills in assessing ROI for impact of efforts
  • Experience as a personal influencer is highly desired

This individual is clever, creative, and observant. Has something to say that is going to get people to click the "like" button and/or follow the Brands social pages. This person is aware of the e-commerce, and social media landscape and can quickly identify trends, and engagement
opportunities. You must be able to pivot quickly as this function is led by continuous evolution and last minute changes driven by social media trends.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45-50/hr. (Salary $90-110K). Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
