Job Description:

Program Manager is the responsive focal point for management and direction of the Contractor's internal activities, and for interface with the Government including the resolution of problems between the Contractor and Government. The Program Manager will be responsible for maintaining an adequate system for tracking the progress of contracts, bringing them to completion, and maintaining workable interfaces and relationships with concurrent and subsequent associated contracts. An inherent effort of this function will be to provide support to the 645 Aeronautical Systems Squadron (AESS). This includes coordination in the form of daily, weekly and monthly reporting of performance and milestone attainment during the life of any project. Also included in the responsibilities of a Program Manager are the requirements for internal coordination of work requirements and assignment of work tasks within the corporate organizational structure as well as reviewing and reporting on the performance of the various departments in the accomplishment of the program.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead in the execution of contracts and proposals.
  • Identify continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Coordinate with customers to identify new opportunities and resolve issues throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Provide concise reports to management on status, potential issues, risks, and recommended courses of action.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) to customers, other stakeholders, supporting teams, all levels of management.
  • Effectively balance program plans, risks, and opportunities with executable strategies to meet requirements on budget.
  • Lead meetings and reviews, tracking resulting action items to closure.
  • Manage multiple programs at any one time with the ability to multi-task and communicate on a daily basis for status reporting.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of ethics and integrity.
  • Logically analyze problems to seek understanding of the root cause of the problem, including broad-based consideration of relevant variables.
  • Experience with the entire MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Customer liaison experience preferred. Will interface with and present proposed solutions and progress updates to high-level customer representatives.
  • Proven team player with the ability to work effectively with others; has outstanding customer relationship skills and presents a professional appearance.
  • Must be able to support multiple efforts, changing priorities and can maintain professional behavior in high-pressure situations.
