We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Splunk Engineer with expertise in both Splunk and Dynatrace to join our IT/Infrastructure team. This role is critical for ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our monitoring and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing Splunk and Dynatrace environments, with a focus on driving operational excellence and supporting enterprise-wide monitoring strategies.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Splunk Engineer with expertise in both Splunk and Dynatrace to join our IT/Infrastructure team. This role is critical for ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our monitoring and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing Splunk and Dynatrace environments, with a focus on driving operational excellence and supporting enterprise-wide monitoring strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture and Strategy: Lead the design, architecture, and strategic planning of Splunk and Dynatrace deployments to meet the organization's growing needs.
- Platform Optimization: Optimize Splunk and Dynatrace performance through effective configuration, tuning, and capacity planning to ensure high availability and efficiency.
- Cross-Platform Integration: Integrate Splunk with Dynatrace and other monitoring tools to create a unified observability platform that provides comprehensive visibility into system performance and security.
- Advanced Data Onboarding: Lead complex data ingestion projects, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection from a variety of sources.
- Custom Development: Develop advanced dashboards, alerts, and reports tailored to the needs of senior leadership and technical teams.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce best practices for data security, privacy, and compliance within the Splunk and Dynatrace environments.
- Incident Management: Act as a senior escalation point for critical incidents, providing expert analysis and rapid resolution to minimize business impact.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Documentation and Standards: Establish and maintain best practices, standards, and documentation for Splunk and Dynatrace environments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Security, DevOps, and Business teams to ensure that monitoring solutions align with organizational goals and deliver actionable insights.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience with Splunk, including administration, development, and architecture.
- 3+ years of experience with Dynatrace, including deployment, configuration, and integration with other tools.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale, enterprise-grade monitoring environments.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and security practices.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Skills:
- Expertise in Splunk SPL, data parsing, and complex query creation.
- Deep knowledge of Dynatrace monitoring capabilities and best practices.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across teams.
- Splunk and Dynatrace certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified Architect, Dynatrace Associate).
- Experience with ITIL processes and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience in leading large-scale monitoring projects.
