Piper Companies is currently seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer based in Raleigh NC to support our customers core infrastructure engineering team. This person will be responsible for automating, deploying, and operating solutions on our cloud infrastructure. We are looking for someone with a strong technical background developing DevOps tools and processes, as well as exceptional communication skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional team members and key business stakeholders.

What you will be doing:

• Collaborate and lead other engineers to plan, design, and develop the DevOps environment that includes CI/CD pipelines
• Support entire software development lifecycle with an emphasis on build and release management via automation
• Maintain the deployed system, deploying updates and fixes, investigating, and resolving technical and network issues, providing technical support to end users as needed
• Work closely with the development teams to effectively implement cloud-based solutions at scale

Required skills:

• 5+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer/DevOps Engineer/Cloud Engineer
• 3+ years of experience working in a cloud environment
• Experience working with infrastructure as code using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
• CI/CD tool - pipelining experience using Bamboo, Jenkins
• Configuration management using Chef, Ansible
• Version Control using Git
