The Sr. Director, Data Operations, will lead our growing data organization. This visionary role is pivotal in maintaining current environments and data pipelines, partnering in building next-generation D&A platforms, and leading a high-performing data operations team. The role oversees all aspects of data operations, from ingestion and transformation to governance and security. It defines and matures the Data & Analytics platform technology strategy and drives a cultural shift towards a world-class data-first organization. The Sr. Director will champion our Data & Analytics program, supporting large-scale global data engineering efforts and technology transformations to provide full sustainment capabilities across the our Data Estate.
Accountabilities
1. E2E Data Operations and Sustain:
o Testing and monitoring processes to support global products and projects in partnership with Data Engineering teams.
o Accountable for: Executing actions.
2. Data Capture, Storage, Integration, Governance, and Analytics:
o Responsibility in collaboration across the organization.
o Accountable for: Making decisions.
3. Day-to-Day Operations:
o Support for data products, service-level agreements (SLA), and clear definitions to meet business demand. Engage with SMEs.
o Accountable for: Executing actions.
4. Work Intake and Agile Management:
o Partner in work intake process and Agile management for data platform teams. Lead strategy and direction to drive excellence for PepsiCo customers.
o Accountable for: Making decisions.
5. Senior/Executive Level Relationship Management:
o Actively manage relationships up to the CEO level.
o Accountable for: Providing consultation.
6. Strategic Automation and Process Management:
o Rapidly create and manage automation-based and structured processes.
o Accountable for: Making decisions.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues.
o Accountable for: Providing consultation.
8. Operational Policies and Procedures:
o Develop and automate operational policies and procedures. Establish crisis management functions for service outages and incidents.
o Accountable for: Making decisions.
9. Customer Relationship Management:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, leveraging skills such as active listening and problem-solving.
o Accountable for: Providing consultation.
10. Team Culture and Development:
o Build a team culture focused on customer obsession and attract a diverse, high-performing team.
o Accountable for: Executing actions.

Required Skills & Experience

20+ years of technology work experience in a large-scale global organization.
15+ years of experience within a cross-functional IT organization.
10+ years of leadership/management experience.
Excellent communication skills and ability to empathize with customers.
Experience with mission-critical solutions in a Microsoft Azure environment.
Proven track record in driving operational excellence and delivering large-scale operational services.
Strong background in data operations, architecture, and strategy.
Ability to build cross-functional relationships and drive consensus.
Experience in delivering large-scale operational services in a complex environment.
Knowledge of master data management, data standards, analytics, and digital transformation.
Fast and fearless leader with a transformational mindset.
Analytical and innovative mindset to create new solutions.
Positive attitude towards challenges and setbacks.
Ability to navigate complex situations with persistence and flexibility.
