CARMA Lab at the University of Houston ( https://uh.edu/class/psychology/clinical-psych/research/carma/ ) is seeking to hire a bilingual (Spanish/English) Senior Technical Assistant, Social/Behavioral Science to contribute to our impactful research endeavors in the field of community engaged clinical neuropsychology and cognitive aging.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:
  • Recruiting and enrolling research participants (including scheduling and obtaining consent)
  • Conducting interviews and cognitive testing on research participants
  • Developing research-related materials
  • Completing administrative duties to support the functioning of the lab

The Senior Technical Assistant will also ensure data quality through thorough assurance and entry, assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, and supervise undergraduate research assistants.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field, possess strong oral and written communication skills, have a systems-oriented mindset, and demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities along with excellent time management skills. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential for this role.

This position requires a minimum two-year commitment, with a workload of 40 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday with occasional weekend events. Opportunities to engage with other departments and institutions and to attend workshops and professional conferences are available.
