Sr. UI Engineering Manager

This large retail employer in Katy, Tx. is looking for a Sr. Manager, UI Engineering to join their e-commerce team. This person will be responsible for leading a team of five UI Engineers in the development of the main website and mobile applications which includes the augmentation and personalization of the website and promotional content to upscale usability. This individual must be detail oriented, a champion of innovation, hands-on in their management approach, and comfortable working closely with project managers and back end developers to ensure the website is up to date in it's development. Day to day responsibilities include working with designers and developers to ensure website functionality for end-u . They will also assist cross-functional teams to understand, write, develop, and test the business requirements for quality assurance to ensure a smooth handover to development teams. Additionally, they must be heavily involved in keyboard coding to help lead the UI Engineers in best practices, and join bi-weekly calls to complete validation for their monthly release. 1/3 of their responsibilities will be working with IT, 1/3 will be team management, and 1/3 will be true development. This person will report onsite to their Katy, Tx. location 5 days/week (Mon-Thurs 7:30-5:30 and 8-12 Fri). The salary range for this role dependent on experience would be between $140,000-$160,000 annually.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
10+ years of experience in UI Engineering, Web Development, Software Development or similar
3+ years of experience leading development teams in the development and delivery websites.
Working Experience building websites with HTML5, CSS, JS and bootstrap methodologies.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Prior retail industry experience
Experience utilizing Monetate or other similar personalization engines
