A client of Insight Globals is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to support work in the Fort Walton Beach area. This individual will be overseeing four lines of business, including: supply chain, MRP system, purchasing, and shipping/receiving. IT is vital that this individual come from a similar background, dealing with supply chain for government programs, or cs supporting government programs. The right candidate will have at least three years of management experience, and at least five years of total supply chain management experience. They should have a Bachelors degree, or four years of relevant experience on top of the experience mentioned above.
The candidate would be expected to:
- Spearhead the formulation, execution, and monitoring of plans and strategies to guarantee the prompt prediction and provision of materials and services, contributing to the execution of the most beneficial operating plan.
- Take charge of establishing and supervising the supply chain division, encompassing material planning, procurement, and supplier oversight.
- Provide direction and counsel to the subcontract management unit, collaborating closely with program management, production, and IPTs to facilitate the progression into production.
- Engage in negotiations, execution, and administration of strategic supply agreements, including non-disclosure, collaborative development, intellectual property, and other contracts in order to cultivate effective associations with key suppliers.
- Outline, execute, and continuously enhance proactive management of supplier performance risks to tackle existing and potential supplier-related issues with mitigating resolutions.
- Act as the representative of the company in dealings with principal customers and suppliers, forging productive working liaisons at fitting levels with both internal and external entities.
- Establish and implement guidelines, processes, and resources to ensure the productive and effective functioning of all procurement and supplier management operations.
- Lead material planning initiatives and projects aimed at managing material risks, involving crucial cost-saving or strategic acquisitions beyond immediate necessities.
- Deliver pertinent data for reports, inclusive of metrics, as mandated by management pertaining to procurement, supplier management, and subcontracts.
- Ensure that all procurement and supplier management undertakings conform to applicable government regulations and corporate policies and procedures.
- Ensure timely backing for proposals through the acquisition of supplier proposals and quotations.
- Perform additional assigned responsibilities.

Required Skills & Experience

BS/BA in technical or business field
strong supply chain management, procurement, and supplier management experience, preferably within the DoD space.
Experience implementing long-term agreements and sub-contracting agreements
PDM or MRP system experience
