Description of Duties:

The System Administrator Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• Be an effective lead with a proven understanding of customer requirements and knowledge to apply the team's skills and resources to meet the programs requirements.
• Provide leadership over a team of administrators for both Windows and Linux by providing tasking, prioritizing work as required and executing performance management actions.
• Ensure proper team training and mentorship to ensure successful execution of tasking
• Coordinate support with other internal program elements to give and receive additional System Administrator support as needed

o Address complex challenges and ensure best integration across the program as possible.

o Work with system engineers to identify and define requirements for new systems/system modifications, developing designs, and implementing and testing solutions
• Work in coordination with peer leads to proactively cross train and provide surge support or assistance in Multi-Disciplinary Engineer tasks, as the program requires
• Execute account creation tasking, assignment of account permissions; manage group policy and configuration policy requirements.
• Perform Tier I support and Tier II support as needed to meet customer and program requirements
• Ensure proper execution of Imaging and maintenance of Imaging end-user devices to include physical and VDI
• Manage multi-region teams, customers and infrastructure requirements
• Manage end-user support expectations by overseeing execution of break/fix actions to include proper routing of inbound calls, resolution of issue and of incident ticket management
• Oversee maintenance execution actions associated with end-user equipment to include bios upgrades, configuration changes and technical refresh requirements as needed
• Execute and oversee end-user and VDI desktop hardware implementations to include associated peripherals and execution of end user SW installation
• Perform tasks to maintain Windows and Linux operating system (OS) operations to ensure positive functionality

o Oversee daily system monitoring and application upgrades to ensure optimal and continuous system operations

o Be responsible for ensuring system software installs, and cyber security mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements
• Coordinate and execute cross team training to assist in Multi-Disciplinary Engineer tasks as the mission requires

o Develop and maintain procedures, processes and baseline configuration documentation

o Have excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective and efficient interchanges with various members of the team and stakeholders

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 16 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 14 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 12 years of general experience; Master's degree and 10 years of general experience
• Must have 9 years of directly related experience
• Must have 3 years of experience working in a management or leadership role
• Must have experience performing system administration on Engineering Web Services (EWS)
• Must have experience managing Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
• Must have experience working with Windows server 2022
• Must have experience with Windows 10
• Must have experience working with virtual environments using VMware
• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (CCNA-Security CySA+ (formerly CSA+), GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCP)
• Must have a current DoD Secret security clearance

Desired Requirements:
• Have, or be able to obtain, a DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI
• Have experience conducting log analysis to assess root cause analysis
• Have comprehensive knowledge of Virtualization infrastructure
• Have experience with RHEL 8 and 9
• Have experience with NetApp OnTap 9
• Have experience with 2FA to include RSA and PKI

This position is expected to pay $123,000 - $148,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
