Summary:
The Talent Development Manager will lead and oversee the operation of the Talent Development Department and will serve as an advisor and facilitator with exceptional client service acumen to many stakeholders. The Talent Development Manager will possess a passion for leading initiatives that develop and improve people and that align with organizational priorities and goals. The individual in the role will be a consultative thought leadership partner, serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, and will collaborate across departments to assess talent development needs.
How You Will Make An Impact:
Specific abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and ability to focus. Regularly required to sit, use hands to fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and maintain the ability to commute to other buildings in and outside the shipyard for meetings, presentations, and training. Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, and moderate levels of noise.

Pay Scale
$115,900 - $149,900
This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. It takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education. General Dynamics NASSCO also provides a variety of benefits including medical & dental insurance coverage, 401(k) retirement savings plan, flexible spending accounts/HSAs, life and disability insurance, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO), wellness coaching, and an onsite health services.

How You Will Make An Impact:
- Design and implement comprehensive programs that provide opportunities for employees to develop and expand their skillset consistent with organizational strategic objectives.
- Lead efforts by the Talent Development Team to conduct development solutions and continuously enhance offerings.
- Develop and lead a portfolio of leadership assessments. Advise on usage and best practices.
- Partner with the Talent Development Team to design, conduct, and manage development programs utilizing blended-learning instructional methods and technologies to deliver engaging and effective learning.
- Build team effectiveness capabilities to enhance the performance, cohesion, and collaboration of teams.
- Provide excellent stakeholder management skills. Build strong trusting relationships across departments with senior leaders and other key stakeholders to move to assess and understand development needs, ensure program alignment, and gain buy-in for department initiatives.
- Partner with leadership and HR to establish metrics and analytics to determine impact of department initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Developing people and fostering an inclusive work environment that promotes positive values.
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a directly related field of study. Masters Degree preferred.
- 5 7 years of experience in talent management, organizational development, or related field.
- Proven results in the design and delivery of onboarding, leadership development, performance management, talent management, change management, conflict resolution, and succession planning programs.
- Experience in consulting to senior leaders on organizational and development opportunities.
- Proven track record of strong facilitation skills, delivering presentations, and coaching.
- Certified in assessment, leadership, and coaching tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and coach a team and build trusting relationships across many business units.
- Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
