YOUR FUTURE TEAM

As part of TCEQ's Office of Waste, you would contribute to agency efforts to regulate the generation, treatment, storage, and disposal of various wastes and the cleanup of contaminated sites. See details about what we do.

This position is a member of our Remediation Division.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with Superfund statutes and regulations.
  • Experience with project management, work orders/contracts, and/or budgets.
  • Experience working with technical and regulatory material, procedures, and/or policies relevant to contaminant remediation and/or Superfund.


HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Plan and coordinate all phases of routine to moderately complex engineering work in accordance with Superfund Section guidelines.
  • Manage contracts/work orders to achieve corrective action at Superfund Section sites.
  • Perform miscellaneous and/or special technical or administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Review invoices under prevailing agency guidelines and required time frames.




Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Texas Professional Engineer's license.

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES

This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Engineer I-V state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Engineer I-V series.
