YOUR FUTURE TEAM

As part of TCEQ Compliance and Enforcement, you would help ensure that those we regulate comply with the state's environmental laws.

This position is a member of our Central Texas region.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Manage and communicate information regarding the review of Edwards Aquifer Water Pollution and Abatement Plans (WPAPs), and compliance and enforcement activities of the EAPP. Develop and monitor the progress of on demand EAPP approvals and investigative commitments. Advise management of significant program issues.
  • Plan and coordinate EAPP team activities; review and approves technical reports and coordinate and monitor the progress or program work plan elements
  • Hire, develop, and appraise the performance of the EAPP staff
  • Provide outreach and technical assistance to the public, regulated community, media and government officials
  • Provide technical and programmatic input for regulation development
  • Manage the administration and development of the program's contracts and budget




Qualifications:

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience conducting technical reviews of Edwards Aquifer Protection Plans
  • Degree with a major in engineering, geology, or environmental science
  • Experience hiring and supervising staff and conducting performance management activities


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in the management of a business function, division, or department relevant to assignment.

OR

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.
