To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work on a team focusing on Revenue Cycle Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Patient Financing, Collections, and Refunds reporting to the Director of Revenue & Accounts Receivable.

As a Technical Manager - Revenue Cycle your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Execute revenue accounting processes and controls for Heartland's 950+ supported practices, with specific focus on analytical review, scalability and automation.
  • Review and approve account reconciliations related to accounts receivable, revenue and revenue related reserves, inclusive of monthly calculations and journal entry preparation.
  • Overseeing those responsible for revenue related transactions are recording entries in accordance with GAAP and the applicable accounting policies, including contract reviews.
  • Assist in the research and implementation of new revenue related accounting standards and determine the impact to the company.
  • Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of process or system improvements as they relate to accounting and finance functions within the revenue cycle process.
  • Become the subject matter expert with the various financial/analytical tools utilized by the accounting and finance team, particularly those utilized for cash reconciliation purposes.
  • Complete variance analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts related to the revenue cycle.



Minimum Requirements:


  • Technical GAAP accounting knowledge, including ASC 606, deferred revenue and allowance for bad debts
  • Experience preparing and reviewing account reconciliations in the area of revenue and accounts receivable
  • Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries
  • Technical accounting knowledge of ASC 805, Business Combinations.
  • BS in Accounting required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to identify discrepancies, perform research therein, and work toward resolution
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple deliverables simultaneously in a deadline driven environment


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Experience with Blackline Accounting software system
