Test Engineer

Insight global is looking for a Test Engineer. Candidates will work to perform cost reducing/ saving measures surrounding their new product development projects. This person will work with Magnetics, Mechanical, Electrical and Procurement teams affiliated with new products to identify cost saving measures. Candidates will receive new parts/ equipment from the procurement team, create a test scenario, analyze the results, and determine which product is the most effective while reducing costs. Candidates must be able to analyze/ validate the results in order to push to production. Candidates must have an electrical or mechanical aptitude/background while being able to validate new products, tools or softwares to efficiently save costs. Once this is completed, they will track performance of the product. Majority of this work will be completed in an office setting (80-90%) and occasional work will be completed on the manufacturing floor (10-20%).

Salary: $90,000-125,000

Required Skills & Experience
- experience in product development & testing and/or cost improvement programs.
- experience researching electrical/ mechanical/ manufacturing products for cost saving measures
- Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) for electrical/mechanical assemblies and cost implications.
- Experience with product design in the manufacturing, electrical or magnetics space
- Experience running test scenario's/ case's on new products and analyzing/ validating results (IQ, OQ, PQ)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet, and other business applications.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with 3-phase power distribution or UPS systems
